Hi! I’m Georgia Turvey.
I’m a Fashion Marketing and Branding student at Nottingham Trent University, about to graduate and excited to enter the world of work. Welcome to my digital portfolio! This is a consolidation of the projects I have completed within my three years at university that I feel best conveys my talent as a marketeer. My Story
It sounds silly, but my interest in marketing began by watching The Apprentice as a child, I remember thinking “I can do that.” Of course, now grown, I know The Apprentice is not an accurate reflection of the workplace, however, little me was right in thinking that marketing is something I can do (pretty well too if I do say so myself).
Not being certain about a career path at the time, I studied Sociology, Psychology and English Language at A-Level. Strangely, though not overtly related to marketing, my knowledge in these areas helps me greatly day-to-day. I appreciate the importance of understanding customer behaviour and writing compellingly, giving me a slightly different outlook.
The next step was Fashion Marketing and Branding at NTU, and I couldn’t see myself doing anything else. I’ve had the most amazing 3 years here and can’t believe how much I’ve grown as a professional I can’t wait to see what happens next!
